Adam J. Carriuolo - Fine Art Silkscreen Print
"As a piece of architectural history in Providence, the Turks Head building occupies a unique place. It has always inspired those who take the trouble to really look at and examine its environmental stature and emotional posture. However, it is in the light of the WaterFire Ballroom, with its archways festooned with radiant and billowing curtains, and the streets surrounding it peopled with revelers glowing with the joy of the event that the building achieves its full potential and emotional impact. It is this expression of history, architecture, art, and joyous society that I have attempted to capture with this print." - Adam J. Carriuolo

During full lightings of the WaterFire celebration in Providence, the stunning facade of the Turk’s Head Building (at the confluence of Weybosset and Westminster streets) presides over the festive ballroom dancing that populates the streets below. This composition is a montage of the Turk’s Head facade arranged with braziers from the WaterFire lighting on the Providence River.
